The setting in cattle and citrus country seldom featured in literature makes this a unique addition to Florida mysteries. Full of colorful characters and comic charm, Mama Rides Shotgun opens as Mama is fixin' to wed husband number 5, and talks Mace into a pre-ceremony adventure that results in, of course, a suspicious death. Author Sharp is as charming as her characters, and the event is sure to be a treat.
